The Long Beach Comiccon was exciting because we were able to test reactions to our new chapter art in the 2nd edition of The White Falcon: Taking Flight (formerly The Awakening).

Reactions were all positive (we knew that would happen).

As I write book 2, Allies, I'm focused on the connections that we make with other people so when I came across this blog I knew I had to share. 

This blog is about photographers that have a talent for catching special Moments of Emotion. The first two: connecting through the camera and people with their pets, are fabulous. Then up popped Benjamin Von Wong and BAM! His underwater photos are like a sneak peak into the world of Laguz (one of the worlds that Gabriel visits in book two). And hmmmmmmmm, what do I see in the corner of his photo #TWF?!? I know it was not for The White Falcon...but I still think it's a tiny bit of serendipity.

It's official! TWF has an Artist Ally table at the Long Beach Comic Con. 

TWF will be reintroducing book one of The White Falcon: TALON series. The new book includes additional (and final) edits by my wonderful support group of retired teachers AND additional illustrations by artist Kathleen Craig. 

And we will have a new item for sale. Since book one focuses on Sir Zachary we thought it would be fun to have a raccoon plush for sale. Come by the table and say hi! 

Each of the 5 books in the TALON series focuses on one of Gabriel's mentors:

• Taking Flight is about realizing your potential and taking action. This story highlights Gabriel's mentor, Sir Zachary. 
• Allies is about teamwork and understanding that we are better together. Thank you Arlynn. 
• Lost is Rayla's turn to step into the spotlight. Sometimes you don't appreciate what you have until it is gone.
• Origins will give Shawnee a chance to tell us about the history of Giervalk and the Legion of Thirteen. 
• New Beginnings will will focus on the Nolland our warrior. He will help Gabriel realize his full potential in ways we never imagined were possible.

All Cons are fun. This Con was magickal. 

Rachel and I were sitting at our table and would say. We really need a better printer service for our next round of complimentary bookmarks and wallah! Someone walked up and handed us an advertising slick for their printing service. 

We discussed 3-D design options (something we are very excited about) and wallah! Our next guest was a game designer! Omens! 

Now we all know that the Cons have a ton of those types of talent (printing, game design, etc.) but the timing at this con was both incredible and magickal.

Our next event is Phoenix Comic Con June 5-8!!! It's going to be a fun event and we can't wait to go to Geek Prom and the Masquerade Ball. We hope to see you there!

TWF and staff will be at this springs WonderCon in the Small Press area (SP-121). L.K. Craig will be at the event signing books so come on by. The event is at the Anaheim Convention Center April 18-20.

With our new site we have an "official" blog. PLUS we have a new look ~ check it out! It has swords and arrows and a pretty background. We are so excited about what this site will let us do in the future. Soon we will be adding more pictures and videos - yay!
